Fashion illustrator Cheryl Hoffman's images are adored by women of all ages for her gorgeous use of color and her keen attention to the details of modern lifestyle, current fashion and vintage glamour. Illustrator Jennifer Rapp, former publisher of Pulp Couture, calls them 'decidedly feminine, yet sophisticated and artful'.

Cheryl started out as a graphic design graduate from San Diego State. She began life in the OC as an art director and soon became restless. She spent some time at a magazine in Laguna Beach where she found out that the glamorous life of fashion photo shoots wasn't quite it either. After a little bit of identity crisis and lots of journaling, she thought it might be fashion design. Although she still dreams of making clothes for herself one day, sewing turned out to be a talent she wasn't born with. Waitressing wasn't one of those talents either. While taking a course in fashion illustration and reading The Artist's Way, she began drawing. It turned out that drawing clothes might be it.

Today, Cheryl is a very happy illustrator living in Los Angeles with her husband Shem. She does various commissioned projects including magazine editorial and book covers in addition to developing collections of artwork for licensing.

She also publishes a stylish line of illustrated paper products, which are always printed with painstaking attention to color. Most of Cheryl's images are the stuff of daydreams mixed with details from everyday life. She writes the sentiments for every greeting card, keeping in mind what she would like say to her own friends, which makes for very personal treasures that are a joy to recieve.
